Each strand is attached to a single strand of your own hair and lasts until that hair sheds. Everyone has different shedding patterns at different times. Adults typically retain their strands for a few weeks to a few months, on average.  Some of our customers have strands that stay in for over a year! It is typical to lose a strand or two relatively early, within the first few days. For this reason, we ALWAYS give extra strands. The first few strands you lose are on us!

YES! You can do whatever you do to your regular hair while wearing fairy hair. Brush it (wide tooth comb or wet brush is best. Make sure to brush from the bottom up), wash it, heat style it (up to 350 degrees), color it, bleach it, keratin it. Anything is possible! If you have strands that stay in for months through multiple processes, you may notice that they start to lighten or even strip of their color and turn silver. This is normal, and a sign that it’s time to make an appointment for some new sparkle! 

Please note: We have no control over the hairdresser's treatment of the client's hair (for example: strong brushing). 

Each Sparkle is hand-tied to a single strand of hair.  There are no adhesive products or glue involved in the process, nor do we use any crimp beads. Fairy Hair does not cause any damage. The Hair Sparkle then behaves exactly like your natural hair - you can brush, wash, curl, straighten, cut and color it. 

The amount of time it takes varies on the amount of strands you want. Our minimum amount of 15 strands only takes about ten minutes to put in and increases from there. Strands of 50 plus can take about an hour to put in. 

Not at all! Fairy Hair is lightweight and our Sparkle Fairies are trained and experienced. 

The Fairy Hair strand will NEVER fall off of your hair. It will only come out of your head when that strand of hair naturally sheds. 

Yes!! Faerie Grandmother Karen has curly hair so whenever you make an appointment you’ll be able to see how the Fairy Hair shapes itself to the curly strand. When you originally get Fairy Hair put into your curly hair, it will lay on top until you shower. It will then integrate with the curls. 

Fairy Hair can be added to locs and braids. However, this can only be done in one of our Home Salons, requires more time, and is more costly. But it can be done. 

Yes. Fairy Hair can be added to wigs. You can even drop off your wig to be done and pick it up later! 

Yes. Fairy Hair can be added to hair extensions. However, the Fairy Hair will be permanently attached to the extension and will come out when the extension is removed. 

Yes. Your hair just needs to be at least 3-4 inches in order for your Fairy to work their magic!

Of course! Guys deserve to sparkle too. We offer beards and mustaches too, just as long as the hair to be Sparkled is long enough for us to work our Fairy Magic in. 

Yes, we can add Fairy Hair to your already existing strands. Be aware we cannot confirm the quality of strands of unknown origin. We source our strands from all over the globe after researching that they are indeed Thai Silk (which is a fancy name for good quality polyester!)

We are available for any and all kinds of parties, events, and celebrations. Not limited to: birthday parties, sip & sparkle parties, baby showers, bridal showers, weddings, corporate events & staff appreciation, private appointments, conferences, in-store event, women's parties, holiday parties, athletic events, bat mitzvahs, quinceaneras, bachelorette parties…etc. Fairy Hair is fun everywhere!!!

Since 2013. Faerie Grandmother Karen was taught by the Fairy Goddess Mother Dancing Hands who brought Fairy Hair to the US. Fairy Claire joined Karen in 2018, and together, they have been bringing Fairy Hair to a much wider audience. 

Fairy Hair is perfect for all ages! Fairy hair usually works best in adult hair. It doesn't last as long in our younger clients because their hair follicles are not yet mature. We recommend starting out with 10 strands for kids 6 and under. We give this disclaimer so you don't have high expectations, but there is always an exception to the rule. While we don't have a specific age for a child to receive Fairy Hair, there are two requirements that must be met: 

- The child must give consent (verbal or otherwise) 

- The child must be able to sit in the chair by themselves and sit still. 

Hair that is CLEAN AND DRY, as product free as possible, and brushed free of tangles are best for the fairies to work with and can help your sparkly strands last longer. 

Please arrive ON TIME to your appointment to ensure we run on schedule. If one person runs late, we all run late. If you are more than 5 or 10 minutes late for your appointment, you will be worked in to the next available opening in the schedule. We do our absolute best to keep things running on time. Please allow a half hour window as a precaution. 

All our appointments require a 24-hour cancellation notice (but please give as much notice as you can as some events may have wait lists and we would love to offer your spot to someone else).

Prices are as follows: 

15 strands = $40. Requires ONE (1) appointment slot. (15 minutes)**this is a good "try it" for adults, or a nice amount for children who have adult sized heads**

20 strands = $50. Requires ONE (1) appointment slots. (15 minutes) **this is a great idea for a starter adult head who wants a more full look, or a nice treat for kids**

30 strands = $75. Requires TWO (2) appointment slots. **This is our most popular option! It is great for all hair types and simple layers** (30 minutes) 

40 strands = $100. Requires THREE (3) appointment slots. **This is a great option to treat yourself! It allows you to have 3-4 full layers of Sparkles. It really lets you get your Sparkle On!** (45 minutes)

50 strands = $125. Requires FOUR (4) appointment slots. (60 minutes)**This is a Great look for long term coverage** 

60 strands = $150. Requires FOUR (4) appointment slots. (60 minutes) **This is a great option for a special occasion or to make sure your Sparkle lasts a long time!**

70 strands = $175. Requires FIVE (5) appointment slots. (75 minutes)** The numbers really speak for themselves**

80 strands = $200. Requires FIVE (5) appointment slots. (75 minutes)**These numbers really speak for themselves**

We know that a few hairs can fall out within a day or two so we ALWAYS give a few extra Sparkles for FREE.

Tipping is an expression of Gratitude for a service performed well. While it is not a requirement, a tip shows your Sparkle Fairy that you appreciate her giving you her best service to make you Sparkle and Shine!

No need to wait. You can do everything you normally do with your hair. You can get a haircut with it, or color your hair, etc. However, if you plan to get your hair cut short, it is better to get your Fairy Hair first! 

In our experience, most places do not know how to install these strands. They are hair stylist first and Fairy Hair Fairy second (if at all), at best they fall out in a few days, at worst, they cause damage to the hair, causing it to fall out in clumps. Our strands have been time tested and our Fairies are very experienced.
